Maui Beach

As of January 2nd, I will be lounging on the shores of Wailea beach in Maui with my soon-to-be husband. I’m so excited to go there! I’ve been to Hawaii before a few years back to celebrate my parents anniversary and see where they met :) But I’ve never ventured to the island of Maui. Any places that I have to see or restaurants to eat at??

We’re staying at the Grand Wailea Waldorf Astoria in Wailea beach. I’ve been told the weather is the most predictable and sunny in the southern part of the island. We’ll be renting a car for part of our stay so we’ll be ale to travel around in ease.

Now what to pack?! I didn’t get too many summer clothes this past year, especially bathing suits so it’s slim pickins in my wardrobe! Luckily there’s still time to order online. I’ve been looking at J Crew and Victoria’s Secret. But here’s a little wish list of what I’d love to bring with me:

I would love to hear any recommendations for our stay there!

  • Here are my food recommendations for ya!!!
Mala, there is one in Wailea but the original one is on Front Street in Lahina, fun to walk around after dinner as well, you NEED reservations. Great lunch stop too, we eat there a few times a week when we are on the island. The best burger the hubs has ever had and the tuna bruschetta…to die for.
Lahina Grill, historical building in downtown Lahina, amazing food, fab sommelier (Richard), and the best damn dirty martini you will find! Reso needed as well. This is another place we get to at least twice a week when we are there.
Haliimalie General Store, in upcountry, adorable spot and the the food it top notch!
Mama’s Fish House, a must when in Maui!
    Spago, nuff said there!
Great lunch spot with yummy mojitots and good shopping near by is Tommy Bahama’s.
Those are our faves we frequent when we spend our time there…enjoy!!!! xoxo

    Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
We’ve been to Maui twice and our favourite place for pu-pu’s is Merriman’s in Kapalua. The sunset is amazing and their Mai Tai’s are delicious!  I hope you enjoy your honeymoon!
